House Questions Info on Tillman, Lynch [link]SAN FRANCISCO - A U.S. House committee announced Tuesday it would hold hearings on misleading military statements that followed the friendly fire death of Pat Tillman in Afghanistan and the rescue of Pfc. Jessica Lynch in Iraq.The Tillman affair was unfortunate. A sports hero killed in a friendly fire incident. Who could be so cold as to not be anguished by that? It wasn't right to make up a story, but it was understandable. After all, our Military personnel do have a human heart.
But, now what? The Congress going after Pfc. Jessica Lynch?
"The truth, the truth, this is only a search for the truth," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said at a news conference in San Francisco.
Feh! It's not about the truth. It's about exacting tribute from the Administration. No matter whose reputation they trample on in the process. Small minded and petty, the Democrat Party is not suited to govern.
