Pelosi worried about angry health care rhetoric

WASHINGTON – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that the anti-government rhetoric over President Barack Obama's health care reform effort is troubling because it reminds her of the violent debate over gay rights that roiled San Francisco in the 1970s.

As usual, The Nancy’s fears are misplaced.  But, what else could you expect of a kook from the Left Coast?  For someone that has led the House down the wrong path, fear of being voted out would be more to the point and justified.  Not that the thought will cross her mind.  Like the dinosaurs that came before, Pelosiosaur will plod along unaware that times have changed.

Jimmy Carter: Wilson comments 'based on racism'

ATLANTA – Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.

"I think it's based on racism," Carter said in response to an audience question at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."

Oh, my.  Poor Jimmy.  It appears he has lost his grip on reality.  Worse, he’s wandered away from the Home, again.  He really shouldn't be out alone.

Words, words and…

Obama kept up a steady weekend drumbeat of cheerleading for his health care plan in a campaign-style rally, on the radio and Internet, and on network television. He planned to continue the pace with more events designed to seize control of the health care debate following his address to Congress last week in which he urged Democrats and Republicans to come together. …more words.  That is all the President’s pronouncements are.  The only thing that counts is a bill.  Let’s see the bill and give us time to digest it.
